BULLET RESISTANT

METAL DOORS

All Overly Metal Bullet-Resistant Doors have been tested in accordance with UL Standard for Safety 752 for bullet resisting equipment at Underwriters Laboratories in Northbrook, IL, for weapon protection levels 1-8, as well as to NIJ Standard 0108.01. Although they are not attack resistant to a formalized standard, most of these products provide a limited amount of protection against forced entry attacks. Standard and custom size units are available in both single swing and pair configurations up to 4' x 10' maximum leaf size. When vision lights are required, for most levels, Overly offers GCP glazing with sizes from a minimum 11" x 11" clear to full light sizes . If in addition to the Bullet Resistance, if fire ratings are needed, Overly can provide up to 3 hour fire ratings in accordance with UL10C for it's flush door constructions. Overly Wood Bullet-Resistant Door assemblies have been tested in accordance with UL Standard for Safety 752 at Underwriters Laboratories in Northbrook, IL for weapons protection 1-3 and are designed to be hung in our UL-listed metal bullet-resistant framing systems. If your project calls for UL Levels of protection 4-8, Overly can offer a non-UL listed door assembly fabricated using UL-listed level 4-8 fiberglass liner materials incorporated into the panel. In all cases, these assemblies are intended for interior use only.

Product features include a fully bonded multi-layer ballistic core that can be laminated with a complete line of wood veneer species and MDO faces that can be delivered, unfinished, prime painted, or with clear or custom stained match. Plastic laminates are also available from a variety of manufacturers. Vertical edges of the doors are edge banded to match the face material selected.

These door leafs are available in a maximum leaf size of 4’ x 10’ swinging in single or pair configurations. If fire labels are required, 20 minute ratings are available for these flush sizes and configurations.

For non-fire rated doors, when vision lights are required, doors can be provided with light kits matching the bullet-resistant level required by the project. For UL levels 1-3, 4-ply all polycarbonate glazing is supplied and required to be factory glazed in a UL listed metal framing system. For Levels 4-8, glazing materials supplied vary with level of UL bullet-resistant protection required. Please contact factory for specifics.

For all bullet-resistant wood door assemblies, it is essential that the hardware be compatible for the individual levels door constructions. Openings are required to be secured with a cylindrical, mortise, mortise panic or rim panic device for singles and active leafs of pairs, and flush-bolts or vertical rod devices for in-active leafs. It is important to note that pairs of doors MUST be equipped with an overlapping astragal fabricated to meet the UL protection of the opening. Doors are also not able to incorporate hardware of the concealed type such as closers, hold-opens, vertical rods, etc.

Hinges used for swinging the doors needs to be able to accommodate the weights of the doors as indicated in the chart below. Heavy weight ball bearing type hinges can be used for levels 1, 2, 3 and 6. It is required that continuous hinges supplied by Overly be used on levels 4, 5, 7 and 8.

When electrified locks/latches are required, preparations for electrified hinges or power transfers and corresponding raceways may be able to be provided in the door panels. Consult factory with your specific project requirements to verify compatibility.

Fixed Windows

Overly offers Ballistic Resistant Fixed Vision Windows to provide for secure viewing from a protected area for UL 752 levels 1-8. Overly Fixed Vision Windows are available in prime painted or a #4 stainless steel finish, and glazed with glass clad polycarbonate. Overly can also incorporate acoustical performance requirements for some of it's Ballistic-Resistant Fixed Vision Windows. Consult factory with your project’s specific requirements.

BULLET RESISTANT WINDOWS

Service Windows

To facilitate the transfer of currency and documents without compromising ballistic protection, Overly offers a complete line of Ballistic-Resistant Transaction Service Windows that feature integral pass-through trays and secure natural voice transmission systems to alleviate the need for an electronic communications device. Overly Transaction Service Windows have been tested and listed by UL as bullet resistant security devices. They are available in UL 752 levels 1-4. Window sills are offered in a #4 stainless steel finish, and the window frames are available in either a primed painted steel or a #4 stainless steel finish. The window sills are also available with a writing shelf. Window frame anchorages may be specified as either a built-in or bolt-in type configuration. Standard Overly Ballistic-Resistant Transaction Service Windows are offered with bullet-resistant glass-clad polycarbonate, the thickness of which is determined by the specified ballistic level.

Package Pass-Throughs

To facilitate the transfer of packages in a secure environment, Overly offers ballistic resistant package pass-throughs. These package pass-throughs are available in UL 752 ballistic levels 1-4.

If your project requires additional secure performance requirements such as acoustical and/or fire protection, overly can incorporate these features. For sound control, an STC rating of 52 is available as tested in accordance with ASTM E90 and for fire, a 1-1/2 hour UL rating in accordance with UL10C is available.

All of Overly’s package pass-throughs are custom manufactured around you specific maximum package size and are designed with a mechanical interlock that prevents both doors from being open at the same time, guaranteeing the ballistic protection at all times. Access control can be provided with key locked latches on one or both sides of the unit.

Units are available in #4 finish 304 or 316L stainless steel or prime painted carbon steel and come fully assembled with a clamp-on framing system ready for installation into a prepared opening. Consult factory with your specific project needs.

Pass-Through Products

Money Cart Pass-Throughs

Overly Series MCPT Money Cart Pass-Throughs are used in banks, financial institutions, casinos, secure buildings and armored car services where large sums of money, valuables or large packages in various forms are transferred. These large pass-throughs can be made to pass any size package or container.

MCPT assemblies are listed by Underwriters laboratories, inc. as bullet-resistant in compliance with UL Standard for Safety 752 for levels 1-8, as well as to NIJ Standard 0108.01.

Series MCPT Pass-Throughs are completely assembled units composed of a pass chamber, wall clamping flanges, and integral swinging doors. Doors are electrically interlocked to permit the opening of one door at a time maintaining the bullet-resistant integrity of the unit. Locking systems are classified as fail secure. If units are used in barriers not under constant surveillance, integral door position switches can be provided to permit remote monitoring. Frames telescope to adjust to finish wall thickness by clamping unit to the wall opening. The finished wall thickness must be specified at time of order.

Units are available as standard constructed from prime painted carbon steel or in #4 finish 304 or 316L stainless steel and come fully assembled with hardware applied and ready to install. Consult factory with your specific project needs.

PASS-THROUGH PRODUCTS

Gun Ports and Voice Ports

To complete a defensive position and allow for secure return-fire capability, Overly offers Ballistic-Resistant Gunports. These gunports feature a tamper-resistant locking mechanism and have a positive closing slide to eliminate accessibility from the outside. Assemblies are listed by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL) as being bullet-resistant in compliance with Standard for Safety UL 752, Bullet-Resisting Equipment for weapons protection levels 1-8, as well as to NIJ Standard 0108.01. Overly gunports are manufactured of investment cast type 304 stainless steel with ballistic slide bars fabricated from type 304 stainless steel bar of sufficient thickness to withstand specified attack level. Product is fully assembled and supplied with gaskets and mounting screws. Overly Gunports are offered with a stainless steel finish and may be mounted through the wall or transparent armor.

Overly Ballistic-Resistant Voice Apertures are designed for mounting in armored vision lights to provide an inexpensive, maintenance-free, non-electronic method of voice transmissions, in control rooms, currency exchanges, teller windows and other ballistic protected areas. Assemblies are listed by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL) as being bullet resisting assemblies in compliance with Standard for Safety-UL 752, Bullet-Resisting Equipment for the following threat levels weapons protection levels 1-8, as well as to NIJ Standard 0108.01. Overly Ballistic-Resistant Voice Apertures are manufactured of investment cast type 304 stainless steel with ballistic baffles fabricated from type 304 stainless steel material of sufficient thickness to withstand specified attack level. Product is fully assembled and supplied with gaskets and mounting screws.
